What Is Crigler-Najjar Syndrome?

Brianna was born with a rare liver disease called Crigler-Najjar syndrome. It means her liver doesn't produce an enzyme that helps break down a by-product called bilirubin. If too much bilirubin builds up in her body, her skin and eyes turn yellow and she could lose her hearing, suffer brain damage and risk death.
