Mayo Clinic Minute: A New View of Distracted Driving
The U.S. Transportation Department calls distracted driving a dangerous epidemic. Every day in America, at least 8 people are killed and more than 1,100 are injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver. Mayo Clinic is working to reduce those numbers through its injury prevention program. In this Mayo Clinic Minute, injury prevention coordinator Kim Lombard highlights an interactive tool being used to show the real dangers of being distracted while behind the wheel.
